A tidy 8-bunk hut in the Makaretu Valley.
Note that the three official routes into the hut all flood after rain, and in bad weather the only exit is up an abandoned track up the spur behind the hut towards Te Pohatu summit.
Standard 8-bunk hut with a fire box. Good clearing in front of the hut for tents. Water from the river below.
