MTEAC Lodge on Mt Taranaki Read all about it here: http://www.mtegmontalpineclub.org.nz/kapuni.html This is a well established comfortable hut on the southern Eastern Slopes of Fanthams Peak on Mt Taranaki. It has a south easterly aspect and should be high enough to work line of sight across to the south island and down as far as Palmerston North and beyond. West and north will be a challenge due to the shadow of the Main peak of Taranaki. Should be able to find somewhere to tie a pole off to but the peak slopes up quickly behind the hut.
