Description
Small island to west of Solander Island / Hautere. There are erosional remnants of a major volcano. The islands are due south of Big River and ~50km southeast of Puysegur Point. Feature shown on: NZTopo50-CH05/CH06 297244; Named after Dr Daniel Solander, a Swedish botanist on Cooks original voyage around NZ. Māori name was "Hau-tere"
