Description
A small island in the Ross Sea, about 22km north-northeast of Cape Bird, the northwestern extremity of Ross Island. From the north the island rises gradually to Paton Peak, with steeper cliffs on its east and Lettau Bluff on its west. Feature depicted on: NZ AntTopo50-MD14; Discovered and named in 1841 by Ross for Captain Francis Beaufort, R.N., hydrographer to the admiralty.
