Description
Two small lakes on the north and west slopes of Mount Brilliant, in Scarlett Range, and draining into Kākāpō River. Otumahana Survey District.; One of a series of names proposed in the northwest Nelson district to facilitate Search and Rescue operations in the area. Lands and Survey Department, Nelson, suggested the name, which had had long term local use. The colour of the water in the lakes is very dark.
