Description
A series of three lakes in Karamea River near its junction with Beautiful River. Leslie Survey District.; One of a series of names proposed in the northwest Nelson district to facilitate Search and Rescue operations in the area. The name, which was already in use, was submitted by Lands and Survey Department, Nelson. The series of three lakes were formed by slips brought down by the Murchison Earthquake in 1929.
