Description
Between McKenzie Burn and Chester Burn, approximately 6.4km north of South Fiord, Lake Te Anau. Esk Survey District.; Named after JR Eyles, an ethnologist from Canterbury Museum, and a member of the Canterbury Museum Fiordland Expedition Jan-Feb 1953. 'Fiordland National Park, Murchison Mountains. James (Jim) Eyles was the ethnologist on the Canterbury Museum expedition to Fiordland in 1953, which left this name.'
