Description
Lake northwest of Lake Alexander and east of Lake Sheila on Stewart Island/Rakiura. Anglem Survey District.; One of a series of names sourced for a new edition of the map 'Stewart Island'. Names were either taken from existing maps, charts, or publications, or supplied by Roy Traill, or other Stewart Island/Rakiura locals and confirmed by Mr Traill. Name suggested by Mr Traill as a tribute to Mr JK Calder, school teacher at the island for many years. He was still living on the island in his retirement.
