Lake approximately 1.25km southeast of False Peak, draining into Beautiful River. Leslie Survey District.; One of a series of names proposed in the northwest Nelson district to facilitate Search and Rescue operations in the area. Name already in use, submitted by the Lands and Survey Department, Nelson. Brian Jewell, was a former mapping draughtsman with the Lands and Survey Department in Nelson.
