Description
A lake west of Franklin Ridge and north of Rotopōhueroa / Lake Constance in Spenser Mountains approximately 25km southwest of Lake Rotoiti. Feature shown on: NZMS260 M30 Edition 1; NZTopo50-BS24 717436. 1989; Ngati Apa Tribunal evidence states that this name means ‘Lake of peaceful lands’. This lake was used for the cleansing of male bones.
