Description
Located on the north side of Pearse Valley. This small frozen lake is of significance because of its history of partial drying up. As of last review (2019) the feature appears to have nearly split in two. Feature depicted on: NZ AntTopo50-MF08

Info Origin
The name was proposed by VUWAE (Victoria University Antarctic Expedition) and stated to be in theme with other first names for women used in the vicinity. As no features in the vicinity appear to be women's first names, this theme may have been used by VUWAE unofficially for minor features - a VUWAE publication from 1979 appears to refer to either the immediately adjacent pond as 'Mae West Pond'. Due to a lack of information 'Sigrid' is assumed to be on theme with other Nordic mythological and legendary names in the vicinity.
