Description
Pool approximately 4m long by 2m wide, at the source of the stream which drains Puweto Valley, Aorangi Island, Poor Knights Islands.; One of a series of names in the Poor Knights Islands submitted by J A Bartle in February 1966. These were submitted to enable reference to localities on the islands to be made when publishing articles on the plants and animals of the island group. The name is derived from the fact that on several occasions large Tuataras have been seen bathing in it, especially on hot days. Too small to show on maps, see Minutes XXXIX p 45 for location map.
