Lake between Hall Arm and Crooked Arm in Doubtful Sound / Patea, 5.5km north of Commander Peak. The source of Browne Falls.; Named after Vincent C Browne, photographer of Christchurch, who made many photographic flights over Fiordland and is credited with being the first to obtain an aerial view of Lake Browne and Browne Falls.
